BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo: The first of its kind

It’s a vehicle of change, as only BMW could build. With the elegance of a sedan, the performance of a coupe, and the versatility of a Sports Activity Vehicle, the 2010 BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo is an entirely new type of BMW model.

One glance at the 5 Series Gran Turismo’s exterior, and it’s apparent the rules have changed. A bold coupe-like silhouette and frameless windows give way to a unique dual-access tailgate. Classic BMW cues include large alloy wheels, a strong shoulder
line and signature Hofmeister kink. Inside, luxury abounds: from the optional Multi-contour front seats and Comfort rear seats, to the driver-centric dash, the cabin boasts exquisite leather, all perfectly accented by modern trim options. The semielevated
seating position offers the perfect blend of comfort and perspective. BMW’s latest generation iDrive Controller lies in easy reach, with the optional Navigation system ready to plot your next trip quickly and conveniently.

And what a thoroughly exhilarating trip it will be – wherever you go, a 4.4-liter, 400-hp V-8 Advanced Turbo BMW engine rockets you there. This power is paired with a newly designed 8-speed automatic transmission. For superior storage versatility – and
your passengers’ comfort – a new dual-access tailgate lets you open the cargo area using a trunk lid or tailgate. The 5 Series Gran Turismo: grand touring luxury meets modern BMW styling.<br /
